Biographical / Historical
The Waltham Garden Club (originally named the Waltham Better Gardeners Club) was created in 1941 to promote and educate the citizens of Waltham about the benefits of gardening. The club has held many uniquely themed events, such as annual flower shows, garden parties, and tea parties, as well as participating in many city and state-wide events (Historic Waltham Days Parade, Waltham Public Library Books in Bloom Flower Show, and Massachusetts State Library Capital Blooms) The Waltham Garden Club also has a long history of civic development projects and community-based programming including Victory Gardens and plant sales.
